Third CohortTalen walks up Oakland Hill , on the side thats in camp of course, trying to find somewhere where he can be alone. He gets to the top, well almost to the top but its an area thats still in camp, and sits down. He sighs softly, and looks down at the camp. He looks around, to make sure that no one is around. He quickly reaches into his pocket, and pulls out a bottle full of Dr.Pepper. He twists the cap, and opens it. Talen holds it up to his face, and takes a long swig of the soda.
Talen sets the soda down next to him, and puts the cap back on. He then reaches behind his head, and grabs his hood, and pulls it over his head. Talen looks at his outfit, he was wearing some beat up tennis shoes, a pair of old jeans, his purple camp shirt, a hooded sweatshirt, one of those ones that zips though.
Talen picks up his soda once more, and un-screws the cap. Just as he's about to take sip, he hears the sound of someone walking towards him. Quickly he puts the cap back on and tries to hide the soda, with out looking sucspious. Nervously, Talen looks around trying to find the source of the sound, but he doesn't see anyone. Madelyn had just gotten done with her first training session. She just now realized how out of shape she was, then again she was a newbie. Madelyn had also figured out quite a bit about herself while training. She was skilled with a bow, and terrible with swords. Madelyn walked up the hills, with a smile plastered on her face.
She had her quiver slung over her shoulder and her bow was still in her hands. Madelyn was just to lazy to put them back, so she had kept them. She saw a figure of a boy on the hills, and her smile spread. Madelyn quickened her pace, until she was in front of the boy. "I'm here, but I won't hurt you. I promise." she said, smiling.
Madelyn looked at the pop in the boy's hand, then back at him. "I'm Madelyn." she said, standing still. She didn't really know what to say, since the boy seemed to be scared of her.

| Talen looks around, and finds the girl. He studies her, and can't help but smile. She was, er is really pretty. "That's good. I was just worried, it would be someone coming to bust me for soda"he says softly. "I'm Talen Hastings, son of Neptune, third cohort"he says softly.
Talen then reaches into his bag, and pulls out a can of soda. He holds it out to Madelyn and looks at her. "It's yours if you want it"he says softly. He wasn't sure why he was wasting a soda, and a girl he just met, but for some odd reason he didn't care. Talen then smiles, and motions for her to sit next to him. _________________ Talen Hastings, son of Neptune, 3rd Cohort-16

Madelyn smiled and looked him over quickly. "If anyone did that, I don't think it would be me." she said, sitting down by him. The demigod didn't even think of asking him if it was okay to sit by him. Madelyn took the pop with a smile and thanked him,"Oh, thanks Talen." She looked around, as if to see if anyone would see them. Madelyn grinned and popped open her soda.
She took a small sip and smiled. She hadn't had a lot of pop since the beginning of camp, where she got bust ed by Lupa. Madelyn never smelled like dishwasher soap for so long in her lifetime and hoped never to get caught again. _________________

| Talen picks up his own soda, and holds it up to his lips. He takes a long sip of it, and smiles. It felt refreshing to just sit back, and drink some soda, and to break the rules. He normally wasn't the type to break rules, yet for something as small as drinking soda he didn't care. "Your welcome"he says to her.
Talen then looks down into the camp, as he drinks his soda. He felt bad for the campers who we're down there, with out soda. Actually he didn't, he didn't care about most of them, infact he cared for about five to ten of them. _________________ Talen Hastings, son of Neptune, 3rd Cohort-16

Madelyn took another sip of her pop and covered her mouth, feeling the fizz in the back of her throat. She hated when that happens, but hoped he didn't notice. The demigod was all to good at embarrassing herself. Stuffing her pride down her throat *metaphorically*, she looked at Talen. "So, how long have you been at camp?" Madelyn asked with a smile.
She took one more sip of her pop and swallowed the fizz quickly. Madelyn didn't want it coming out of her nose or something awkward like that._________________

| Talen smiles as he drinks the soda. He reaches into his pocket, still drinking his soda, and takes out his sunglasses. He unfolds them and puts them on. He then looks around, and focuses on Madelyn. "Around a year or so. To be honest I've forgoten"he says softly. He hated to admit it but he had honestly just forgoten. "How about you? Madelyn smiled when he took out his sunglasses. She regretted the fact that she didn't bring her sunglasses from her home. It was one of the many things that she forgot in her hurry to Camp Jupiter. Madelyn then looked at her hand and took another sip of her pop. She was considering painting them a light pink color later. "Hmm, I see." she said, turning to look at him. Madelyn smiled and thought about his question.
She had lost track of the time at Camp Jupiter, but assumed it had been a few months. "About five months or so, I think." Madelyn guessed. She brushed a strand of hair behind her ear and took another swig of pop. "Do you like it here, after being here for a year or two?" she asked. _________________
