Jake put his backpack down on the bed which was now apparently his. He was still amazed that so much could fit under a highway without anyone ever noticing. Second thought, how could someone miss any of this demigod stuff? Isn't a giant monster trying to rip some kid to pieces a bit conspicuous? Jake shook his head, trying to clear away the thoughts. Thinking about it too hard gave him a headache. He took out the little sphere from his pocket and set it by itself on the bed. He gave it a sharp tap and out sprang his little raptor automation. Jake smiled as it made a noise and looked around. Believe it or not, the small robot had been the most normal thing all day.

Jake turned to see a very cheery girl about his age.
"Yah, just arrived an hour ago." He answered. He shook her hand. "I'm Jake." His automation squeaked. For some reason it liked new people.
