Nick smiled and adjusted his position, getting comfortable. He watched Eon eat his share of Destine's muffin and his smile grew. He was so caught up with watching Eon, he almost spaced out on Destine. Nick looked at his cookie, realizing he hadn't taken a bite for a while. " It's great, this place is great." he said with a smile.
Nick took another bite of his rather large cookie, and swallowed. He ate quickly, but still could tell the food here was amazing. Nick stole another looked at Eon, who was munching the muffin like a squirrel. He smiled, looking at Destine, and he got caught up in her beauty. He wondered if she knew how amazing she was.

|  D E S T I N I A S ||[destine] || L E E O S ;; m o n e t a Destine nodded happily as she heard Nick say that he was enjoying the cookie. This place really was great. Glancing over at Eon, Destine bit into her chocolate chip muffin again. The mixture of soft bread and chocolate chips was delicious to her tongue. "I'm glad you like it so much" she said not taking her eyes off of her pet.
After a moment, Destine felt as if she were being watched, but when she looked up, the daughter of Moneta was glad that it was only Nick staring at her. Suddenly, she felt her cheeks heaten and she couldn't stop herself from smiling. Eon started squeaking loudly about as to how Nick and Destine were practically killing him with the staring-ness, if that were a word... Realizing what Eon said, Destine only tossed another crumb at him and he quieted down. Finally clearing her throat, Destine broke her gaze and looked out a window while slowly eating her muffin. She knew that a blush was still on her cheeks, but she din't really mind anymore.
Suddenly though, Destine felt as though they were being watched. Looking out, Destine couldve sworn that she saw a shadow outside. Furrowing her eyebrows she realized that there was a ghost outside and he didn't seem to be friendly. Shifting uncomfortably in her seat Destine slowly took another bite of her muffin and stared at Eon.

Nick smiled and nodded. He kept on eating his cookie for a moment, then saw Destine frown. He followed her chocolate eyes to a ghost outside. The ghost seemed familiar, but then again he didn't. Nick glanced back at Destine, and saw she was looking at Eon again. Maybe the ghost wasn't a big deal. Nick shrugged it off for a while and took another bite of his cookie. Almost seconds after doing so, he felt the ghost looking at him again. This was getting really creepy, really fast. "You see the creepy ghost too, right?" Nick asked her. He wanted to make sure he wasn't the only one seeing things. _________________

| D E S T I N I A S ||[destine] || L E E O S ;; m o n e t a Hearing Nick's voice, Destine glanced at the ghost and nodded. Turning to Nick again, she sighed. "He probably is one of the demigods who's passed, but has a grudge about something or someone here at Camp," she muttered, petting Eon's head with her finger.
Suddenly feeling the ghost's eyes on herself Destine lost her appetite for her muffin. Putting it down on the table, she let Eon devour the rest. As the sugar glider nibbled away, Destine stared at the ghost when she suddenly heard his voice inside her head. What he said was almost entirely incoherent, but she was able to hear three of them. "You will die." Destine, utterly confused, shook her head. She didn't just hear that. Did she?
She turned to Nick with a fake smile. Hopefully, he couldn't notice the difference. "Don't worry about him; he's harmless," she lied cocking her head towards the ghost. Maybe he would leave them alone if they'd ignore him.

Nick nodded at her, even if he could tell her smile was fake. She didn't seem to want anymore of her muffin, and it didn't take long for Eon to devour it. He felt the ghost's transparent eyes looking at him, almost staring into him. Nick shifted uncomfortably in his seat as he finished off his cookie.
He stole a quick glance at Destine and smiled. Nick hoped that the fake looking smile she gave him was just him misreading her. His brown eyes looked back outside, at the ghost who still stared at them. _________________

| D E S T I N I A S ||[destine] || L E E O S ;; m o n e t a Destine sighed as Niick looked over at the ghost. He was more or less feeling unfomfortable just as she was. The daughter of Monesta shook her head, a frown appearing on her face. "Yeah, it's pretty uncomfortable knowing you're being watched, isn't it?" she asked with a slight joking tone, "It's as if you know you're being stalked by a weird ghost." As much as she tried to lighten the mood, Destine could still feel the awkwardness in the air.

Nick smiled and nodded. "Very," he said with a brilliant smile. Nick's brown eyes drifted over to where the ghost was, and saw it was gone. "Oh, look." he said pointing over to where it had been. "He's gone..." Nick said, almost not believing himself. He looked around and saw no ghost. A breath of relief came out, as if he had been anticipating something. Nick looked into Destine's eyes and smiled, remembering how beautiful she was. _________________

daughter of Moneta Destine was so busy unsciously staring at Nick's rather dashing smile that she nearly didn't hear him when he spoke. Her dark brown eyes were shining as she stared at him somewhat dreamily. Wait, what was she thinking?! He probably didn't even like her! He was already her friend, she really didn't want to lose him. Destine never really liked being alone but she had no choice because of other people's perspectives on her powers.
"Hello! Destine, wake up!" Destine nearly jumped as Eon's voice rang through her thoughts. She glanced down at him, but he only pointed over at Nick. She looked over at him and smiled. Realizing that he was pointing over to the ghost Destine sighed looking over to the ghost. However, there was no ghost. Her eyes widened slightly in surprise and she smiled. "Well, great to know," she said happily.
Looking over at Nick again, she realized that they turned to look at eah other at the same time. Destine blushed brightly and looked down at Eon quickly. She quickly took him and put him in he pocket. Clearing her throat, Destine then looked at him and smiled. "Hey, do you know what today is?" she asked remembering that she had to know what the date was.

Nick looked outside the window yet again, the view of the window reflecting in his eyes. He was glad that the ghost was gone, but now he felt someone else's eyes on him. Turning to face Destine, they locked eye for a moment. He couldn't help but to smile softly. "Oh gods, she's beautiful..." he thought to himself. The thought made his smile wider yet. "It's um, a Wednesday." he said. Nick didn't really remember specific days, just week days. Nick broke the eye contact when he heard someone some in the bakery. He glanced over his shoulder as a demigod came in. It was a Venus girl, how he knew that, he didn't know. Nick could just tell. She looked over her shoulder and saw Nick, giving him a wink. His face broke into a blush as he turned back to Destine. "If you're done, shall we continue our walk?" he asked with a soft smile.
Nick wasn't going to stand up until she replied, because that was how he was raised. Be the gentleman. His mother taught him that much well. Then a thought occurred to him, "What if she's not done yet?". "Oh, no rush though, I'm in no hurry." Nick said quickly.

daughter of Moneta Destine nodded slightly, taking note of the date. She was probably just missing the good old days when she could actually enjoy that specific day. She sighed slightly as a small frown appeared on her face. As her gaze hardened while she stared at her hands which were folded on her lap, she was pulled into reality, hearing someone enter the bakery. Destine glanced at the front of the bakery the moment Nick did.
The girl was a Venus girl. A girl from the First Cohort to be more exact. Unconsciously, Destine found herself staring at her. Thankfully, she wasn't paying attention to Destine. In fact, Destine noticed that she was actually staring at Nick. When Destine saw the Venus girl wink at Nick, she turned her attention back to him. A small smile crawled onto her face as she saw how flushed Nick's face was. Maybe that Venus girl was his girlfriend or something. A heavy feeling seemed to come over her. It was a strange feeling that Destine had never really felt before. With the sigh, she shrugged it off, not wanting to woryy too much right now.
Glancing at Nick, Destine smiled slightly. "Yeah, I'm done," she said turning to stand up. Petting Eon before getting to her feet, Destine was surprised slightly when the Venus girl seemed to be making her way over. Destine frowned. What was that girl up to? Noticing her face, Destine knew who this girl was immediately. Let's just say that these two didn't get along from the moment Destine joined the First Cohort. "Leah," Destine said grimly, a glare forming on her face. "Freak," the girl named Leah answered with a smug look on her face turning her attention to Nick. Destine only looked down to the floor, she was tired of fighting with this girl, mainly because their arguements just continuously went around in circles.

Nick smiled at Destine and got up with her, noticing the Venus girl come over. He gulped, sunddenly feeling his throat become dry. The last thing Nick wanted was for the two to start a fight. His brown eyes darted from the Venus girl, whose name was apparently Leah, and Destine's. He could feel the tension that grew in the air. It seemed to be thick. Nick felt awkward standing in the middle of the two, noticing that Destine was uncomfortable as well.
Hearing Leah's reply to Destine, as soft, barely notable, frown grew on his face. He didn't know this Leah person, but he did know Destine, and suddenly felt the urge to stand up for her, seeing it was right. "I have no idea what you're talking about, Leah."he began, directing his voice at the Venus girl. "Now, if you'll excuse us, we'll be going." Nick said, offering an arm for Destine to link on to, so they could continue their walk.
His act just wasn't to make Leah angry, he also wanted to show Destine he would gladly pick her over Leah in a heart beat. It didn't take much for Nick to reconize that the Venus girl would just take advantage of anyone she could deem worthy.

daughter of Moneta Destine was only glaring sternly at Leah with her lips in a firm line when Nick spoke. Her eyes widned slightly as she realized that he was defending her. The last time someone actually did stand up for her was- well, never. She honestly couldn't really believe it as she just stared at Nick, speechless. Once she ragained her train of thought though, Destine couldn't help but smile at Nick and utter out a barely audible "Thank you."
Leah, on the other hand, only rolled her eyes and reverted her gaze from Nick to Destine. "What did you do?" she demanded placing her hands on her hips, "Twist his memories and make him think you were his girlfriend? That is low." Destine glared and opened her mouth to speak when Leah cut her off by speaking to Nick. "Don't hang out with this freak. The only thing she'd do is twist your memories and leave you in the dust." With that, Leah began making her way towards the counter to but a latte.
Destine looked down at the ground again, not really wanting to take Nick's arm. She wouldn't do those that to him, no way. In fact, she wouldn't do that to anybody, but those words stung just like it did when she was much much younger. Tears began to form in her eyes but she calmed herself down by taking in a deep breath. "Chill, Des, that skunkbag is just playing with you," Eon's voice ran through her head and Destine looked to her pocket to find him peeping out. Turning to Nick, Destine sighed. "I wouldn't do those things, you know that right?" she asked hopefully. She wanted to make that clear to Nick because normally when Leah said those things about her to everybody they's believe her. But she could barely even use her powers properly!

Nick gave Destine a quick smile, as Leah started talking. She was just making up a bunch of lies, and he could tell. Then again, how did he know? Nick had only known Destine for, what? A day? Or a few hours? Shaking his head slightly, he let his arm fall back into it's usually position, seeing Destine wasn't going to take it. After Leah was gone, he rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. Seeing Eon pop out, Nick figured it was to give his owner a little helpful encouragement. He smiled lightly, then heard Destine begin to talk again.
Nick nodded slowly. "Yes, I know." He said, giving a short simple answer. His brown eyes glanced at the door, then back at Destine. "Do you want to leave now?"' Nick asked softly. He really didn't want to be in the same room as Leah anymore. Besides, he felt like maybe they should go back to talking alone. It was a lot easier that way.

daughter of Moneta Destines couldn't help but smile up at Nick when he believed her. She was relieved to know that he wouldn't be like how many others were towards her. Because deastine knew she was becoming weary of those kinds of people. They just always assumed things, even things that were false. Sighing slightly, she nodded. "Yeah let's go," she said, standing up next to Nick.
Wiping the depressed-like look on her face, Destine put on a smile and made her way towards the door. Oddly enough, once they were outside, the sun seemed to shine brightly and more people were on the streets but not too many. After a few steps away from the bakery, Destine turned to Nick with a genuinely grateful smile. "Nick," she began, "Thank you... For standing up for me back there. It means a lot to me." As she spoke, Destine heard Eon's snickering in her head, but she decided to push it aside for now.

Nick followed her out, but not before looking behind him, to make sure the girl wasn't following him. Sighing with relief, he headed out with Destine. "Oh, it was nothing." Nick said, shoving his hands in his pocket. "I'm sure you would've done the same for me, right?" he said, looking at Destine with a soft, half smile.
Nick heard Eon laughing, and couldn't help cracking a grin. He looked ahead of them and saw a faun, walking along looking for things. The goat-man almost ran into Nick, but he backed off before he could. "Oh, er, sorry sir." the faun mumbled, and kept walking. Nick kept his brown eyes on Destine after that, seeing no reason to do otherwise.
